Metabolic Syndrome Diagnosis & Reversal

Metabolic syndrome (also known as insulin resistance syndrome) is a common diagnosable condition of poor metabolic health.

It is associated with many of our modern diseases including; type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, fatty liver, high blood pressure, some cancers, and dementia.

Addressing poor metabolic health can also help a variety of other conditions, including; polycystic ovary syndrome, obstructive sleep apnoea, inflammatory & autoimmune conditions, and some mental health conditions.

Diagnosis of metabolic syndrome can be achieved by measuring waist circumference, blood pressure and blood tests. If you have metabolic syndrome then lifestyle adjustment can usually make a significant difference to your short and long term health.

I have produced an easy to understand infographic to explain the core features of metabolic syndrome.

A single consultation (with blood tests where necessary) will be sufficient to diagnose metabolic syndrome and provide lifestyle guidance to resolve the condition. Follow up appointments and reassessment with blood tests can support continued improvement.
